this website was designed by me!

I had the pleasure of witnessing Levon Helm & Kris Kristofferson play together last weekend at Levon’s home studio in Woodstock, NY for one of his intimate and infamous Midnight Rambles. A moment that will be etched into my mind for eternity was the site of a gleeful 73 year old Kristofferson (who was standing right behind Levon’s drum kit for his entire set) absolutely light up in a spontaneous and unscripted moment while running onto the stage to sing along in whatever mic he could find when he realized Levon’s band had begun playing “Long Black Veil.” It’s not often that you get to see two living legends play back to back, but it’s even better when they share the stage simultaneously in a genuine moment, united by the love of a song. I count myself lucky to have been there.
